Hi everyone,

To keep OldGuys.co.uk growing, I’ve been thinking about reaching out to local businesses. The idea is simple:

  • Ask if they’d be willing to support the forums — either by displaying a flyer, mentioning us in their shop, or even contributing a small monthly sponsorship.

  • In return, we could give them a thank you mention on the site, showing they’re backing a community project that helps older people stay active, connected, and social.

  • It’s a way for businesses to show community spirit while helping us keep the project alive.

This could be local pubs, cafes, tackle shops, tradesmen, or anyone who sees value in keeping older folk connected.

👉 What do you think?

  • Should we make a “Friends of OldGuys” page to list supporters?

  • Any ideas on how best to approach businesses so they see the benefit?
